Somerset Young Carers
Are you a Young Carer?
Do you help or look after someone in your family? Is this because they are ill, disabled or have problems with drugs or alcohol or their mental health? You might be doing the shopping for them, or the cooking, or the housework. Perhaps you help them wash or dress? Or maybe you spend time cheering them up? Whatever it is you do, it means that you can call yourself a Young Carer, and it also means that we may be able to help you.
-
We can answer questions and advise you. We can give you information for you and your family.
-
We can introduce you to other Young Carers. We can help you speak out and be heard.
-
We run regular groups, where you can have fun with friends and take part in new and exciting activities.
-
We organise holidays, allowing you time and fun away from home.
How to get in touch
You can call or write to us yourself, or you could ask someone you trust to contact us - he/she might be a teacher, a relative or a friend, a youth worker, anyone you like.
