Mixing up the Musicals
with Louise Barrett of Pretty Good Girl Dance Theatre
A day of musical theatre dance with a contemporary and creative twist... Come and spend the day with a choreographer learning steps from the big shows. Boys and girls who love musicals and want to learn the basics will be introduced to performance techniques in musical theatre combined with fun dance tasks that help you develop your own choreography - with your own style! Learn what its like to be part of a west end show!
Parents are invited to watch a performance at 3.30pm.

Play in a Day
with Lisa Joyce
Taking the story of this year's pantomime Snow Queen... come and explore the themes of friendship and greed that exists in real life as well as in fairy tales. Using props and costumes we�ll explore the characters that you may see through the looking glass and perform your pieces at the end of the day!

Performing with Puppets
with Marc Parrett of Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company
Get some tips from an expert on how to manipulate puppets. Using Marc�s own beautiful handmade puppets (and any puppets you have at home), learn the tricks of the trade from a professional puppeteer and create your own puppet show. Marc has made puppets for The RSC, Aardman Animations and Bristol Old Vic and has performed nationally and internationally.
Parents are invited to watch a performance at 12.45pm.

Bollywood Dance
with Prerna Chandiramani
An introduction to this fun dance style characteristic of the Indian film industry. The dances combine Indian classical dance, bhangra and western styles such as Hip Hop. A full body workout to some groovy Bollywood hits along with learning a unique dance style while making new friends.

Mixed Media Scenic Workshop
with Edwina Bridgeman
Work with Artist and Set Designer Edwina Bridgeman to create a mixed media prop or piece of scenery for the Merlin�s Christmas show, Snow Queen. It could be a giant snowflake or a butterfly puppet. Everyone will be involved in creating the large piece as well as making your own decoration to take home. Please wear old clothes.
A drink will be provided during the workshops, but please bring a snack if required and lunch for all day workshops.
For dance workshops please wear loose comfortable clothing (ie. not jeans) and be prepared to work in bare feet.
